Mohammad Ashraful has been excluded from the Bangladesh Test team for his continuous saga of poor performances for the Test series against England starting from Friday in Chittagong.
The three-member Bangladesh Cricket Board selection committee on Tuesday announced a 14-member Bangladesh squad, led by Shakib Al Hasan, for the two Test series, Desh TV reports.
Selectors also called in Roqibul Hassan, who made a splendid hundred and a half century in both innings of the three-day warm up match against the visiting English side.

The Executive Committee of National Economic Council on Tuesday decided to allocate Tk 15 crore each to the members of the parliament for infrastructure development.
The decision was taken at a meeting at the NEC conference room with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the chair, Prothom Alo reports.
After the meeting, Planning Minister AK Khandker told reporters that all lawmakers have already submitted proposals on the projects in their own constituencies.

The High Court on Tuesday quashed all proceedings against Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the MiG-29 corruption case filed during the BNP-Jamaat alliance rule.
It also declared illegal the proceedings against Hasina.
The court observed that there was no element of misappropriation of state fund by Hasina in this case, which was filed with an ulterior motive to damage her image and popularity.

ধুলো ঢাকা এই শহরে
মুঠো মুঠো ব্যস্ততার ভীড়ে
একা একা এইতো পথচলা
আনমনে শুধু কথাবলা।
বৃষ্টি নামে অঝোরে যখন
মেঘগুলোকে মনেহয় আপন
কষ্ট যতো ছিলো গভীরে
ফোঁটা হয়ে ঝরে হাজারে।
সিগারেটে একটি দীর্ঘ টান
পুরোনো প্রিয় কোন গান
ভাসিয়ে নেয় যে সূদুরে
আসবোনা ঠিক একদিন আর ফিরে।
চেয়ে দেখি ঐ চাঁদটাকে
বদ্ধ গুমোট জানালার ফাঁকে
নিঃসঙ্গ ভেসে চলে সে
